About RoseBead

Car selfie, ’cause who has time for a proper photo?

Hi. I’m Kae, the hands behind the beads. I am Métis from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I started beading as an adult, and from the first bead I placed I knew it was something special to me. The Knowledge Keeper who taught me to bead emphasized that beading is healing, it’s self care, and that – just as we hold each bead we place – each bead we place holds a piece of our spirit.

I like to laugh. A lot. I have a big laugh. And loud. My humour will occasionally find its way into my work. I bead what brings me joy – sometimes that means beading something fancy, and other times that means beading a moustache.

I view beading as a gift, and I am dedicated to using that gift to help better my community. Periodically, this page will run a “BeadCause”, where a portion of the sale price for every item sold will be donated to a local organization.
